Unsuited For Swimming

A meeting will take place in Lausanne in February that will contribute significantly to the future direction of swimming. Sound minds will be present, so too will be people who show us why the current chaos in the sport must be sunk without a trace.

It's about performance enhancing swim suits and it's affect on our sport.

I weighed in on this issue a few times at meets over the past year and made friends and enemies because of it. You can skip probably 18 months of core training due to the bouyancy and drag reduction that is added for some of these suits such as Blueseventy (formerly Ironman WETSUITS) That is exactly what most of these 'technical suits are...wetsuits. Unfortunately, the cat is out of the bag so perhaps they can be limited to ONLY Elite level international competition.
