PALM COAST -- No more treading water for swimmers waiting for the Frieda Zamba pool: It's scheduled to open Monday.
The pool had been closed since September when heavy rains caused drainage problems and flooded the parking lot. School swim teams and community groups had to find other places to practice and hold classes. The pool center also was home to a yoga class, which was forced to move.
Judi Rich, the president of Friendsofswimming.org and a member of a team called Dynoswim, said the group of swimmers is eager to return to Frieda Zamba.
