Imagine what would happen if we could no longer do open-water training because the ocean water wasn't safe enough for swimming. Have you ever seen the impact of the Dead Zone and wonder, "How the heck did it get to be so bad?"

Stop. Think about it for a moment. Imagine what it would be like if all of our open-water training seized to exist - if it became a memory, part of the "Good Old days".

I do. Ocean swims are my favorite. We have Red tide here right now and it is hard for some folks to breathe let alone swim.

I second that. Open water swimming is definitely my thing. It's sad to see what we, humans, are doing to our planet. It's tragic!

I commend Al Gore on his mission to save the planet, on his campaign against climate control, “An Inconvenient Truth”. Everyone should to step back and think long and hard about this fact, if not for us, then for future generations. We too can make a difference.
