Swimmer Tries to Become Oldest Female Olympic Competitor in Her Sport

More than 20 years ago Dara Torres earned a reputation as one of the best swimmers in the world; she won gold at her first Olympics in 1984 and went on to score eight more medals at three more Olympics.

What an inspiration for the sport of swimming. Just goes to show age doesn't have to be a factor when going for your dreams--we are limitless in anything we really set our minds to.

I wish Dara the best of luck and hope she makes the final cut. I look forward to follow-up stories.
