I actually think about that all of the time. That is why I never cut an athlete. Teach first (not always about swimming either) and train later
I think about the swimming aspect, but I have to be honest that I don't always think about the psychological side and I need to do better with that. Reading this article reminds us all how important is to look at swimming as fitting into all aspect's of a person's life. If swimming is a positive part of a person's life it will reflect on the rest of their life as well.
