For those of you interested in swimming history from the silent film era, check out the following website and download the day's competition recaps from the Bottrap Swim Stadium in Germany.
You'll notice a variety of events including: Synchronized Swimming and the 100M Freestyle relay (notice that there are only three legs to the relays). You'll also get to see Double-Arm Backstroke as an optional component to the backstroke event. Equally interesting is the Women's Breastroke (3x100) relay and diving from a 9M platform! The clip concludes with a lifeguard competition and Water Polo.
It's seven minutes long, but very interesting!
